Socialite Nduhukire Isaac Nasser alias Don Nasser is currently a free man, after the Entebbe Magistrate Court Judge Mary Babirye dropped the scam charges against him.

Last year, Nasser was arrested for allegedly defrauding an American businessman Johnny Hill of Shs5.5 billion in a fake gold trading deal.

But on Thursday, Magistrate Babirye dropped these charges saying that the side of prosecution lacked clear evidence to convict the suspect.

According to Radio Simba, court also ordered Police to returned Nasser’s assets that were confiscated for investigation purposes.

The 32-year-old money bag was in November 2018 smoked out the ceiling by the police, were he was found hiding, after his alleged fake gold scams were reported to the authorities.

In a video recording, Johnny Hill claimed that he met Nassar during his vacation in Kampala, and he (Nasser) presented himself as a gold dealer and proposed an irresistible deal to him.

He claimed that Nasser had to deliver 75 kilograms of raw gold, worth Shs5.5 billion, but after weeks of waiting, he realized that it was a fake gold deal, thus reporting him to authorities.

Before this incident with Johnny Hill, AK47’s London-based widow ‘Maggie’ had also accused Don Nasser for using her as a bait to con a Dubai Based business woman of Shs18 billion, still through a fake gold trading deal.
