Frustrated Diamond Platnumz plans to relocate to Kenya

It all started early last month, when Tanzanian government through its arts governing body Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) banned the singer and his colleague Rayvanny from performing in and out of the country until further notice.

Tanzanian bongo flava recording star Naseeb Abdul Juma popularly known as Diamond Platnumz has hinted out at relocating to Kenya.

It all started early last month, when Tanzanian government through its arts governing body Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) banned the singer and his colleague Rayvanny from performing in and out of the country until further notice.

The ban came as a result for performing a banned explicit song known as ‘Mwanza’.

Despite having made amends with BASATA, it seems Diamond might have had enough of his country failing to support his music.

In an interview last week with a local media outlet in Tanzania, the kwangwaru singer expressed his frustration, stating that if the government doesn’t want him to perform in the country, then its better he relocates to another country, perhaps Kenya.

“Having a good relationship with people, being loyal and working hard is what gets me going. When we perform remember people have left their families to come and make these events happen. As for Kenya I love Kenya and I consider it my home. And the way Kenyans love me and my music makes me want to move to the country. Maybe one day I will,” he said as quoted by tuko.co.ke
