Did Uganda Music Awards organizers forget about Bobi Wine?

By Concerned citizen

For last three years I have been so observant regarding Uganda’s music awards and I have been able to notice one thing most of them have in common.

I shall be very specific, so am considering Hipipo Music awards and Club Music Video Awards (whose first edition was in 2016).

My question is why do you hate Bobi Wine like that? What did he do to you to the extent of not including his name on your lists of nominees for at least once in a joking way.

Fine I accept the fact that the self proclaimed ghetto gladiator’s music career is regressively fading but you people at least be considerate for once.

Try to remember the many good things this man has done in Uganda’s music industry, he worked along with the likes of Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone in the early 2000s to grow the industry.

But you only consider the two, as if Bobi Wine is not a musician like the rest.

In the recent Hipipo Music awards, Bobi Wine wasn’t included anywhere on the list of nominees, and the same case is happening to Club Music video Awards, the singer is nowhere to be seen.

For the love God, you try to create one music category which favors the fading singer for example a category dubbed richest musician or Uganda’s most social musician.

If organizers do that, then we concerned citizens shall be so happy to see Bobi Wine finally scooping an accolade after “a million years”
