Isma Olaxees was released on bail

Kampala Central MP Mohammed Nsereko has intervened to get vlogger Isma Olaxes aka Jajja Iculi out of jail.

Isma spent a night in jail before court released him on bail on Tuesday.

Buganda Road Court granted Isma a non-cash bail of Shs10m after spending a night in jail on charges of offensive communication and criminal libel against faded singer Omulangira Ssuuna.

His colleagues, Kawalya Ssemulondo Isaac aka Kayz, Wako and Marko are still in Kitalya on remand.

Omulangira Suuna said says the four media personalities offended him while a morning Sanyuka television show called “Morning Express when they alleged he was possessed by evil spirits and penniless.

The arrest of the gossip show presenters has generated a big debate on the extent media personalities can go to scrutinize the lives of celebrities.

There have been several complaints from the showbiz fraternity on how media personalities bully them, without the right to respond to accusations leveled against them. However, no celebrity has even gone to the extent of pushing for the imprisonment of the media personalities.
