Pride is a poison that kills relationships

By Faridah Nakazibwe

Although there are different types of poisons, they all actually destroy, although they serve as a defense at this time. This applies to all relationships. If you consider that your relationship is about to break, I can guarantee you that one of your problems is this poison: pride.

Each relationship is toxic because, as in the animal world, it paralyzes the love it once had, paralyzes, hurts and can even kill. Compared to many poisons where you can see their effects in seconds, the poison in the relationship is slow and almost invisible.

It takes its time to destroy love and when you can see the effects, it’s almost too late to do anything.

Sometimes it’s better to be peaceful than to be right. You do not win all battles by fighting. Be very careful where you take your relationship advice. The only advice you can get from a fool is a foolish advice. Anyone who tells you to let go of who you truly love is an enemy that appears like a friend. People can only advice or sympathize with you but nobody can feel your pains more than you. Love is not proud and love is not arrogant. Pride can take away in 10 minutes what took you 10 years to build.

Humans don’t respond well to being put down, and pride gives others that feeling with its “better than you” implications. Humility has the opposite effect. … Many relationship issues are caused by pride. If you can’t admit you’re wrong, it’s your pride telling you to “win” the argument.

Never let your ego deprive you of what matters in life. Never make a permanent decision in a temporary situation. Pride is a killer attitude, kill it before it kills your personality.
