Bobi Wine teams up with MP Zaake to record song on Fiscal Policy

After a social media bashing over his ‘apparent lack of knowledge on fiscal policy’, musician turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi hit studio to record a song about, well, fiscal policy.

Bobi Wine has been under pressure after his interview on NTV Uganda’s March 7 ‘On the Spot’, programme after he was tasked to explain what fiscal tools he would use to curb inflation when he becomes President.

The Kyadondo East legislator, who recently disclosed his interest to run for Presidency in 2021 elections started stammering, something that paved way for Andrew Mwenda and social media to start mocking him.

He couldn’t take it anymore when rival artiste Bebe Cool also jumped in to laugh at him, thus hitting studio together with fellow legislator, Mityana Municipality’s Francis Zaaka, Nubian Li and producer Sir Dan Magic.

In the song, Bobi Wine breaks down the things he would do if he was to become the president.

“We bring the fiscal policy to the disco for a simple man to understand. If I ever had the opportunity to change the way that my people live, I would abolish all the oppressive taxes”

“I wonder why poverty is high and cost of living is high everywhere.  I would reduce on prices of things and raise the salaries; I would use that as my fiscal policy. A simple fiscal policy” Bobi states in the song.

A teaser of the song was shared by Bobi Wine’s wife Barbra Kyagulanyi on her social media platform as she applauded husband for standing up to the challenge.

“Last night, I made a short video of a new song being recorded in studio and I can’t keep it to myself! Guys this Jam is baaaaaddddd! #fiscalpolicy #edutainment. If I had the opportunity, I’d name this song “IF I WERE PRESIDENT” she posted.
