The Isingiro district chairperson LC5 Jeremiah Birungi Kamulari alias Omugogozi has declared his intention to stand as the Member of Parliament for Bukanga Constituency come next elections.
Mr Kamulari accuses the current Bukanga MP Steven Rwakanuuma Kangwagye of incompetence, poor attitude towards services delivery and the fact that he is from the First Family.
Kamulari revealed that in his tenure, he has done almost 70/percent of his what he pledged in his manifesto.
Kamulari also said that the biggest challenge of Bukanga now is safe water, tarmac roads, and electricity which could only be lobbied by the MP.
“All the people of Isingiro have reaped nothing from Kangwagye’s leadership yet he claims he is part of the first family,” Mr Kamulali said on Thursday.
According to Kamulari, Kangwagye told locals that he will be talking directly to the President in a way of lobbying for the people of Bukanga but all in vain six years since he became the area parliamentary legislator.
Kangwagye is yet to respond.
