Rukiga -the Police in Rukiga on Saturday afternoon intercepted a stolen car and arrested the suspect a one Jack Gumisiriza of Mwanjari cell Katungu parish Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district .
According to Kigezi region police spokesman Elly Maate , vehicle reg no UAN 926B Ipsum silver white was intercepted at Kyazanga traffic police check point and its alleged to have been stolen from Bukinda trading centre along Kabale Mbarara highway by unknown thugs.
“It’s alleged that on the 21/02/18 thugs went to Mugarura Onesmus’s parking yard in Bukinda and stole his vehicle and took it to unknown destination, He reported a case at Bukinda and police embarked on tracking the said vehicle that we later impounded at Kyazanga traffic check point” Maate said .
Investigations are underway under reference CRB 155/2018.
