Uganda’s leading news portal Watchdog Uganda has changed its domain name from watchdog.co.ug to jobs.monitor.co.ug/watch following the ongoing major restructuring within the company.
According to the company’s IT specialist Ison Akandinda, the domain was changed due to the ongoing company rebranding thus opting for a new one which could give the site a first Ugandan impression unlike the former.
“We changed the domain name due to company rebranding whereby we wanted to maintain ‘Watchdog Uganda’ in the company title. We wanted to have a feel for Uganda right away from the first impression of the website. Even our social media platforms Twitter and Facebook are titled Watchdog Uganda,” said Akandinda.
