Police Constable Canan Nkamuhebwa attached to the Police Presidential Guard (PPG) has been sentenced to death by the Division Court Martial of Special Forces command in Sembabule town.
Nkamuhebwa was arrested on Thursday evening in Sembabule town along with two others for shooting dead Paul Tumukunde following a bar brawl.
Tumukunde was a son to LC3 chairperson of Lugusulu sub county Fred Karakure.
Nkamuhebwa was sentenced by Lt. Col Moses Emeru.
two suspects L/Cpl Johnson Abasa and Pte Able Katsigazi who were with Nkamuhebwa were also found guiltyof abetting the crime and conspiracy.
These were sentence to 15years for conspiracy and 40 years for abetting the crime respectively.
