President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has granted an official burial for former Presidential Press Secretary, Hon. Onapito Ekomoloit.
This has been revealed by the Minister for Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda today.
The Veteran journalist and former Member of Parliament for Amuria died on Friday 27th September, 2024 at Kampala Hospital after a short illness.
“The President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E @KagutaMuseveni has granted the deceased former Member of Parliament for Amuria and Presidential Press Secretary, Hon. Onapito Ekomoloit, an official burial,” Hon. Babalanda who serves as the Chairperson of the National Organising Committee said in a post on her official X (twitter) account.
“Accordingly, the National Organising Committee (N.O.C) will liaise with Parliament of Uganda to organise the programme for a befitting send-off. Condolences to the family, the people of Teso and all Ugandans. May Hon. Onapito’s soul rest in eternal peace.”
