President Yoweri Museveni has been applauded by Ugandans for exhibiting visionary leadership.
This was during a political program on Luo FM on Monday.
Allocated to the Office of the Resident District Commissioner of Agago, the program which airs every Monday, aims to discuss government projects in the district.
During the show which was successfully utilised by the Deputy RDC Cosmas James Okidi, community members made studio calls lauding President for the recent appointment of new RDCs which according to them are energetic and capable cadres ready to deliver the country forward.
On responding to different programs presented by Deputy RDC such as Emyooga, Parish development model, Nusaf 4, Women fund, youths livelihood funds etc which were initiated by President Museveni to fight poverty, locals said they would embrace them and pledged to use them well.
Mr Okidi also encouraged locals to adopt saving culture since most funds given to them are revolving funds meant to rotate Among groups members.
“Let us change our mindset and direct our thinking towards income generating activities as a way of promoting better welfare among communities in Agago district”; said Mr Okidi.
The deputy RDC further read all construction projects and activities for financial year 2021/2022 as a way of creating awareness on different programs taking place in the sub counties. These ideas propelled the chairman LC3 Wol sub county to call in confirming project in his area of jurisdiction and appreciated the radio program saying itwas the first time ever, where the office of the RDC readout activities of the district for easy monitoring.
Lastly, the office of RDC Agago encouraged community to report any shoddy work, corruption tendency among others that undermine efforts of the government in providing better service delivery to the people.
“My office is 24/7 open to welcome any concern for redress,” Mr Okidi revealed.
