The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has informed the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply today Monday 11th April, 2022 from 7pm to Tuesday 12th April, 2022 6am.

According to NWSC management, this is to allow for a routine general cleaning exercise and maintenance of treatment stages, inspection of under water systems and electro-mechanical installations.

The maintenance works shall be conducted on Ggaba 2 Water plant.

“Subsequently, water supply to Mutungo, Bugolobi, Luzira, parts of Kamwokya, parts of Mulago, Seeta, Makerere, Bombo road;Bwaise, Kawempe, Maganjo, Kawanda and the surrounding areas, Muyenga, Bukasa, Kansanga, Bunga, Buziga, Makindye and the surrounding areas will be affected,” the management said on Monday.

NWSC has since advised customers to store water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown.

“All inconveniences are highly regretted.”
