The minister of state for Higher Education Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo has warned leaders who do not want to supervise government projects in their areas ,saying they must be held responsible for the delays in service delivery.

Dr. JC Muyingo was attending a consultative meeting with different leaders at both parish and subcounty level in Luweero district including those of bodaboda and market associations to suggest standing solutions to the problems faced by the people in these areas.

In the meeting that happened on Friday 1st April in Busiika parish Kalagala subcounty Luweero district, Dr Muyingo extended a helping hand towards the development projects established in the area through providing farmers with 7 tonnes of maize seeds,1200 bodaboda life jackets, aprons used by women in markets with an aim of keeping the required standards.

He also appealed to the leaders to do away with the vice of laziness ,when serving people by ensuring that all government projects in the area yield results, hence warning headteachers in government aided schools not to pin parents when it comes to paying school fees and examination dues ,saying some fees are illegal.

Women who work in markets appreciated Dr Muyingo for donating to them aprons, which will help to simplify their services and attract more customers.

Bodaboda riders who were given reflector jackets have explained their grievances to the minister, saying if government works upon them, they will be able to transform their lives because for now, the situation is alarming.
