The Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has dispelled rumours that he is seriously ill.
On Tuesday morning, reports started making rounds on social media alleging that the Omoro County Member of Parliament was in a very critical condition and that there were plans to fly him abroad to seek further medical attention.
However, according to Team Oulanyah Twitter handle, the Speaker is very much alive and in great spirits.
“Fellow Countrymen and Women. Kindly disregard the false alarmist reports about Speaker Rt Hon Jacob Oulanyah. He is well and in great spirits. At the moment, just like majority of you, he is working from home. Please wear your Mask, Sanitize, Wash hands and #Stayathome #StaySafeUG,” Team Oulanyah tweeted.
The statement has since been retweeted by Oulanyah.
