Kabale: Over 20 Health workers test Positive for COVID-19

At least 20 Health workers in Kabale district have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the acting Kabale District Health Officer Alfred Besigensi,the health workers have staterted treatment.

Besigensi said they tried to test them, randomly and indeed they realized some of them had been positive.

“We know that they’re a Frontline workers,and are also human beings and can therefore get the virus” Besigensi said.

He however revealed that all if them stable conditions, receiving treatment.

Kabale regional referral hospital is currently admitting over 70 covid-19 patients,and over 420 patients are being treated from their homes.

13 Covid-19 patients in Kabale have died since the resurrection of the second wave of COVID-19 in Kabale.
