Police in Rubanda has three suspects in detention for alleged murdering their own biological brother over land issues.
The deceased identified as Asiimwe Kenneth, 24 of Bugandaro village, Kagunga parish Bufundi Sub County in Rubanda district was allegedly assaulted by brothers and a sister to death.
They arrested include, Frank Ahereza, Tuweheyo Medard and Tumuheirwe Phoebe allegedly attacked the deceased on Sunday night from their home compound.
It’s alleged that after killing him, they cleaned his body and placed it in his bed and claimed he had died of a natural death.
According to the Kigezi police spokes person Elly Maate, people became suspicious because of continued bleeding thus alerting the nearest police station.
Maate says that when the police visited the scene, it was established that the deceased had been assaulted because he had multiple injuries on the body.
Neighbors told police that the family had a land conflict.
This case has been registered at Bufundi police station under file number SD 04/16/09/19.
