The Minister of State for Water also Mukono North Member of Parliament Ronald Kibuule Ssalongo has mounted an intensive campaign for religious leaders to pray for him to replace his twins that earlier this year drowned in swimming pool.
The Minister’s boy twins aged about two years drowned in the home swimming pool at Mbalala along Kampala-Jinja highway after sneaking away from the house maids, and their bodies were discovered hours later floating.
On Sunday, as he made consultative rounds in Katoogo parish in Nama sub-county, Kibuule implored Catholic, Born Again, Anglican and Muslim leaders to bless his campaign of bearing another pair of twins.
“When they died, I realized that the easiest way to reunite with them is through coming closer to God myself, and although I had stopped producing children, I have resumed the procreation battle purposely to replace my children”, he said.
He said he was so attached to his dead children because he got them after relentless prayers to God to grant him twins, and added that he has now got into fresh prayers to God to replace them.
He variously contributed over shs3 million and construction materials for completion of three churches, and towards the dhuwa prayers for members of a prominent family whose father, mother and brother died.
