The Northern division district councilor, Christopher Mulenga has refuted any involvement in the move to censure the Kabale District Chairperson.

Mulenga ‘s name appears among the 11 councilors who early this week signed a petition to have Patrick Besigye Keihwa censured.

On Monday, the councilors submitted a petition to Clerk to Council, Alfred Nkeramugabo, accusing the Chairman of  incompetency, corruption and abuse of office. The Councilors also accuse the Chairman of stealing 15 bags of Irish potatoes and selling the government land for his personal gains.

Speaking to our reporter on Wednesday morning, Mulenga said he has never been part of the group which signed on the petition. He says that his name was smuggled on the list of those who signed.

“Those councilors have their ill reasons which intends to tarnish the name of Chairman. I have no problem with chairman and there is nothing bad the chairman has done in the district,” Mulenga said.
