Rwandan woman in Uganda held for stabbing husband to death

Police in Kassanda District is investigating the circumstances under which a Rwandan woman killed her husband by stabbing.

The deceased has been identified as Shyaka Ngoboziza, 37, a resident of Kalagi village, Kitumbi Sub county Kassanda District. He was previously from Rwamagana district in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.

Mr Nobert ochom, the Wamala Region Police spokesperson told Watchdog Uganda that the deceased was stabbed on the left side of the neck by the wife,  Clementine Mukandayambaze, 24 shortly after a quarrel with the deceased. Mukandayambaze also sneaked into the country from Rwamagana.

It is alleged that  Ngoboziza found his wife talking on phone with ‘a suspicious person’ and started quarreling till she picked aknife and stabbed him on neck.

He died along the way to Kassanda health centre  IV.

According to Ochom, the body is at Kassanda Health centre IV pending for postmortem and a suspect is kept in police custody.
