The minister for the Presidency Easter Mbayo has cancelled recent appointments for Resident District Commissioners.

The minister who categorise the appointments as “social media”, appointments directed that no RDC should move to the posts as recently stated in the recent appointments, signed by the President himself.

The announcement by the minister shows serious in fighting in the President’s Palace.

It is not clear who made the appointments that have been quashed but sources in State House indicate the President’s Private Secretary Molly Kamukama sanctioned the appointments. The PPS acts on behalf of the president.

The uncoordinated troop movements indicate that the PPS and the presidency minister are not on the same page therefore the back and forth counter announcements.

The minister’s announcement has put on hold the jubilations of new RDCs.
