National Resistance Movement (NRM) Deputy Secretary General Richard Todwong has dropped a bombshell to fellow government officials who have made corruption, greed and nepotism as orders of the day.
Angry Todwong has revealed that corruption, greed and nepotism are things making Ugandans more disgusted in the leadership of NRM in government.
He says if government officials don’t restrain, control their greed on how they use public resources and how they steal with impunity then Ugandans will push the ruling party out of power and this will be yet another transition.
Todwong made the revelation in a meeting with members of Inter-Religious Council of Uganda in Entebbe on Thursday.
“Corruption, greed, nepotism are things making Ugandans even more disgusted in the leadership of our party in government. Am speaking to you this because I know you’re my shied and to be honest my church told me to be very honest, I even told this to the president that I don’t fear calling a spade a spade before anybody. If we don’t restrain, if we don’t control our greed on how we use public resource, how we steal with impunity then Ugandans will push us out power and this will be another transition,” he noted.
“The hills of Kampala are expanding with buildings but schools, health centers are shrinking, so where do people get this money from and who are the owners of these structures we see around? They belong to ministers, commissioners, permanent secretaries, directors so people get disgusted,” he wondered.
