The wife of Abdullah Kitatta, the leader of the Boda-Boda 2010 group has taken the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura and the Chief of Defence forces Gen. David Muhoozi to the High court seeking orders compelling them to produce her husband in court.

Sumayiya  Ninsiima  a resident of Masanyalaze Zone in Lubaga division says  she does not know the whereabouts of her husband for five days now , since his arrest on the January 20, 2018 from his office at Nateete-Wakaliga in a joint operation carried out by the police and the army .

Through her lawyer  Joseph Kiryoowa, Ninsiima seeks court’s  intervention to compel both Gen.Kayihura and Gen.Muhoozi to produce Kitatta, since they do not deny holding him incommunicado.

Kitatta who serves as the NRM party chairman in Rubaga was arrested last weekend in a joint operation by security operatives.

Kitatta who is accused of masterminding the murdering of Case Clinic Accountant Francis Ekalungar was arrested alongside 27 others.

Ekalungar was kidnapped this year on January 2, while on his way to the bank. His body was found burnt in Kajjansi the following day. Captain Deo Akiiki, the deputy UPDF spokesperson, says they conducted a joint operation on Friday following leads from inside sources.

This led to the arrest of Huzairu Kiwalabye, one of the key suspects. According to Captain Akiiki, after interrogating Kiwalabye, the investigators found the need to make further arrests and picked up 28 suspects including Kitatta, the brother to Kiwalabye.
