President Museveni met division councilors of KCCA who just concluded a one week leadership training course at the National leadership institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi despite the threats.

This was during a meeting at State House, Entebbe where the President met over 200 Kampala councilors from different political affiliations.

“Those who think leadership is like flu that is caught will make you fall into trouble…it is good that you defied the resolution and broke yourselves away from those people who did not want to help you. They are malicious, they want you to strike yet things like these can cause people to die…why don’t their children lead such strikes such that we know it is good? You have done well to go and be taught,” said Mr. Museveni.

The President urged councilors to encourage the youth to find a way of fitting into the four sectors of agriculture, industries, services and ICT in order to create wealth and employment for themselves.

“You leaders are like doctors, if you find a sick person, you advise them, encourage these youths to find what to do in these sectors because minus that you will have betrayed your people…if a youth is wearing a red band, which sector is that? Am saddened at how some of these leaders are using the naivety of these people to influence them,” he said.
