City Hall Grade One Magistrate Court in Kampala has been forced to issue fresh summons for Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Abiriga for urinating on Kampala streets after legislator skipped the first summon.
Abiriga was supposed to appear in court today but his lawyer Usama Ssebufu told grade one magistrate Moses Nabende that his client was unable to attend due to state duties.
Ssebufu added that his client was served late (on Wednesday) and had already traveled back to his constituency.
The Magistrate resolved to extend the criminal sermons against Abiriga and adjourned the case to October 25.
Last week, court issued criminal summons to the legislator to answer nuisance charges by easing in public.
This was done a day after Abiriga confessed live on TV that he indeed urinated at the wall fence of the ministry of Finance citing that he was badly off.
