Democratic Party (DP)’s vice president, Fred Mukasa Mbidde is going to be presented today to parliament as East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) candidate.
Apparently party members are converging at the party’s headquarters and will leave at 11am for parliament to present their candidate.
Mbidde was nominated by DP as its sole candidate amidst heavy protest from a section of members who were not contented with the development.
Recently, Uganda Youth Democrats (UYD) demanded Mbidde to resign following allegations that he was siding with the incumbent party which is against DP’s rules.
