It’s evident that event promoters Andrew Mukasa ‘Bajjo Events’ and Abby Musinguzi alias Abtex won’t stop getting in troubles with the law.
Now the duo was arrested on Monday, and thrown in a police cell for plotting to organize the ‘Bail Me Out Marathon’ without police consent.
According to Bobi Wine’s social media platform, Bajjo and Abtex initially wrote to police, requesting for a clearance to carry out their activities but their request was declined.
“Our comrades Bajjo and Abtex were brutally arrested yesterday while they tried to popularize the Bail Me Out Marathon, scheduled to take place tomorrow, they are still in detention apparently at Nagalama,” Bobi Wine stated.
The singer, also Kyadondo East legislator added that before their arrest, police deployed goons who beat them up very badly.
Bajjo and Abtex are not new to such scandals;ever since the year started, the duo has been reported in many clashes with police than in their known business (events promotion).
They were recently arrested during a press briefing at Max Lounge, Centenary Park, and though Abtex managed to escape, Bajjo wasn’t lucky as he was arrested by a section of security operatives, and later remanded to Luzira prison for offensive communications, inciting violence and misuse of the internet
Bajjo was arrested at the time when they were planning to organize a marathon from which proceeds were to support youths in People Power.
