Technology Associates early this month won the Specialized Partner of the Year: Volume Sales Award.

The company, which has been at the helm of building first-world technology infrastructures in Sub Sahara Africa scooped the award at the just concluded Oracle Partner Executive (OPE) Forum that took place in Kenya.

The award is presented to a partner who has across the year pursued the largest number of deals in all sizes, across several lines of business, and relentlessly booked opportunities for multiple customers in multiple countries across East Africa.

The dynamic IT service delivery company has been progressively leading the infrastructure development of the information technology industry in East Africa for the last 12 years.

Technology Associates has offices in five countries which include Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, India and United Arabs Emirates.

“We have virtually built the hardware and network infrastructure of over 80 per cent of East Africa’s leading consumers of technology solutions,” a statement from the company website reads.

The Oracle Partner Network (OPN) event provides Oracle’s premier solution partners with an opportunity to share insights, experiences and gain a fresh perspective on moving their businesses, and those of their customers, forward.

The forum takes place in six countries across the continent each November.

“The OPE Forum provides us with an opportunity to honour those partners that consistently invest and innovate on the Oracle Cloud and continue to prosper and succeed through the use of emerging and innovation technologies,” said Stefan Diedericks, Director, Africa Alliances, Channels, Technology and Cloud Systems during the awarding ceremony.

The ‘Oracle Excellence Awards for Specialised Partner of the Year’ recognises partners for their outstanding work in driving customer success with Oracle Cloud solutions.  Oracle partners accelerate innovation through customers upgrading successfully to the cloud. From business planning and implementation, to connectivity and execution, Oracle partners provide the support and services needed to maximise the value of Oracle Cloud solutions for customers’ organisation.

Meanwhile, Oracle is a critical Business Partner of Technology Associates. Oracle technology is embedded in every major Enterprise in the Country and indeed globally. From running the Ministry of Finance IFMIS system since 2002, URA’s comprehensive tax collection infrastructure, virtually the entire Bank of Uganda systems, Oracle solutions are at the heart of every major enterprise in Uganda. Every major Bank in the country run their systems off Oracle technology.

Being a strong regional Oracle partner and undoubtedly the no 1 Oracle support shop in the Country, this award is a manifestation of Technology Associates leadership skills and a strong statement to reinforce the confidence of the company’s customers in handling their IT and their businesses.
