Barbra Itungo, wife to Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi has urged young girls to ‘close their legs and open their books’ until they are ready to engage themselves in sexual activities.

She made the call on Friday while meeting girls at St Lawrence College School, Horizon Campus.

Through her Caring Heart Uganda organization, Barbie and team signed commitment cards with the school girls where they made a promise to God, parents, their future children and partners that they will not engage in sexual activities until when the time is right.

“Caring Hearts Uganda is sowing seed of confidence amongst our daughters in schools. We would want them to know that they are stronger than they think and they are in position to say NO to anything they feel violates their rights,” Barbie revealed. “High self-esteem and boldness is top on the list of things we teach. Thanks for hosting us Horizon Campus. We are glad we had an interaction with you.”
