Death has claimed the life of 28-year-old Patience Najjuma, a musician previously with the Golden Band.
She was reportedly involved in a nasty car accident on Monday morning at Wobulenzi, Luweero. Two other people also died when the Vitz they were travelling in collided with a trailer.
Although her songs such as Kambere Nawe did not make her as famous as she could have wanted, featuring in Alintwa by Stacia Mayanja made her face more recognizable.
In the video, she acted as a young girl who woke up Stecia Mayanja from a dream. She was also one of the dancers in the video.
Najjuma’s talent was spotted by the Golden Band management during the ‘Uganda’s Next Musical Icon Season 3’ competitions organized by Mariam Ndagire in 2012.
Even though she came third behind Ismail Kasozi and Hope Namutebi, the door to Golden Band was opened for her and she has since featured on some Golden Band events.
