Churchill Safaris who were nominated as the 2nd best tour operators in Uganda at the 14th Akwaaba African Travel Market Awards this year have fueled their drive to boost the socio-economic wellbeing of the youths through a seemlessly bilateral partnership with arguably the fastest growing Afro-centric school of fashion in Africa, Tenge.

The partnership between Tenge and Churchill Safaris comes to life as Churchill Safaris has positioned itself as a key player in the tourism industry, where it seeks to deliver world class experiences to travellers while always striving towards the development of tourism in Uganda. Churchill Safaris is an umbrella of a larger organisation embodying Uganda cultural lodges that comprise of Hoima Cultural Lodge and Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge.

Speaking to journalists at the launch of the partnership, Churchill Safaris Marketing and Communications Manager Isaac Odongo said, “Churchill Safaris is pleased to be partnering with TENGE to empower and rehabilitate unemployed youths and teenage mothers respectively so that they can have meaningful and impactful lives. The idea is simple; For every merchandise sold at the respective lodges, a percentage of the sales is apportioned to the rehabilitation of the teenage mothers and youths.”
Mr.Daniel Mickoh the Chief Executive Officer of TENGE noted “The amazing stories of many of the mothers and youths who design these unique apparel are the cornerstone of why we exist as Tenge.”

“We are positive that the partnership we have launched today will propel the youths and mothers towards a better life and provide sustainable income through sales to the ready market,” added Mr. Mickoh.
