Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)’s Betty Bamukwasa Muzanira has won the Rukungiri District Woman Member of Parliament by-election in a highly contested race.
She held onto an early lead in the elections held on Thursday.
Muzanira managed to get 50,611votes whereas her nemesis Matsiko Winfred of ruling party NRM got 46,329 votes.
