Youth unemployment in Uganda is ranked among the highest in Africa.
A study, Lost opportunity? Gaps in youth policy and programming in Uganda, published by ActionAid, put youth unemployment at 62%, although the African Development Bank says it could be as high as 83%.
And this can be proven by the way, unemployed youths are searching for jobs in every corner of the country.
On Friday morning over 400 people thronged the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) to apply for District Engineering vacancies.
Meanwhile all the 400 applicants are battling for only 10 slots available.
