Ntungamo police has arrested Sabiiti Ivan Mujungo a businessman in Ntungamo over wife’s murder yesterday in Kashenshero,Mitooma District.
Mujungo has reportedly been missing since March 4 after his wife Deborah Kyosiga was murdered and some body parts chopped off.
Godes Twinamasiko, the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations and intelligence department in Ntungamo says that they picked up Mujungu from Kashenshero in Mitooma district where he had disguised as a casual laborer and has been hiding following the brutal murder of the wife.
“The suspect has confessed killing his wife but haven’t disclosed the motive of the murder,” Mr. Twinamasiko said.
Twinamasiko added that the suspect also claims that he was kidnapped by unknown people from his home in kyamatte Ntungamo Municipality before he was abandoned in Mitooma.
Mujungo is being held for further investigations, if found guilty will be convicted over murder.
