For the past couple of days, the East African Legislative Assembly election has big the biggest story in town and many politicians have come up to contest for the nine EALA seats which are being allocated to Uganda.

Today is the Election Day and 47 candidates are hungrily vying for the slots.

Many people have been inquiring about the specialness of the EALA seats which to some extent have made some people ‘run mad’, call others pigs.

Well for your information, the secret is here; when a candidate gets so lucky and he/she is voted to EALA, then it becomes a right time to call him/her a moving ‘money bag’ due to the ‘mouth watering’ monthly salary.

Monthly, EALA member pockets shs53.3 million.

Here is detailed monthly pay the nine lucky EALA members are going to be taking home;

Daily- $400 (shs1.4m)

Monthly allowance- $4,800 (shs17m)

Monthly plenary- $8,000 (shs30m)

Basic salary- $6,408 (shs22m)

Total payment- $14,908 (shs55.3).
