Police in Rubanda district is a hunting for a suspect who allegedly murdered his 26 year old wife and dumped her body in a bush.
The deceased has been identified as Florence Atuheire a resident of Bwegyerere village, Nyaruhanga Ward Rubanda Town council in. Rubanda district. She was allegedly murdered by the husband one Abel Musinguzi as a result of domestic violence.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased ran away from her husband on Monday due to domestic violence and she together with her one month old child went to Bwegyerere( her mother’s home) leaving her husband in Ntungamo cell, Ruhija sub county where he was working as a plumber.
On Wednesday evening, the suspect followed her to her mother’s home planning to reconcile with her so that she goes back home with him.
The deceased later reportedly went out to talk with him and together they walked away from the home conversing normally.
Unfortunately, Atuheire never returned home until on Friday, when the mother to the deceased discovered her body in the bush near where she fetches water.
According to the Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate,the suspect is on the run.
