How a scandal humbled and exposed Minister Anite as a two faced person

KAMPALA – The scandal has humbled and exposed Hon Minister Evelyn Anite as a two-faced person. Hon Minister Evelyn Anite is in serious trouble for lying to the UIA board of directors that she held a meeting with the British High Commissioner to Uganda, who directed her on how the construction project being implemented in Namanve Industrial Park and funded by the UK government should be managed and run.

According to the board of directors’ minutes of the meeting on June 12, 2024, shared by Hon Anite herself, which this writer has seen, among the urgent actions purportedly directed by the British High Commissioner through her was to direct the UIA staff to refund money they had been paid for the work done within 24 hours, short of which would lead to dismissal.

It later turned out that she had concocted the alleged meeting story with the Ambassador of the UK to Uganda because she wanted to manipulate the board of directors to easily accept what she wanted to implement and achieve. In the response letter to her by Robert Mukiza, he asserts that she fabricated lies because she wanted to have him out of office as quickly as possible.

Mukiza calls her actions of fabricating and lying not only scandalous and fraudulent but also criminal in nature and dares her that if indeed she deliberately impersonated the British High Commissioner to lie, she should resign. On the other hand, if she proves with empirical evidence that Mukiza is falsely accusing her, then he is also ready to resign.

However, she chose to remain silent, which is unprecedented. The public was expecting her to swiftly come out and clear the air given the level of accusations against her, but her silence suggests that she was caught off guard and is drowning in a sea of shame and embarrassment.

Even the news reporters who used to quickly get in touch with her to discuss various topics on social media are baffled by her silence and avoidance of anything to do with questions sent to her related to the meeting with the Ambassador on WhatsApp, which she reads but doesn’t reply to.

Hon Evelyn Anite had always portrayed herself as a woman of integrity, decency, openness, and God-fearing. However, this scandal has exposed her as the champion of those unethical practices instead.

In most of her comments on social media, she quotes the Bible a lot and she has publicly expressed her disgusts towards people who lie , falsefy , forge , fabricate and manipulate situations to achieve their selfish interests but this scandal has exposed her as the champion for those unethical practices instead.

On 5th of July 2024 someone posted on her X handle page that “ You are the biggest corrupt politician in Uganda “ and she replied “ My name is Anite with E. “ here she was clearly demonstrating that she shouldn’t me mistaken with Hon Anita Among the speaker of Parliament that has been accused of corruption related allegations.

On 19th of June 2024, she posted on her X account that “ I don’t panic , i like to be transparent and truthful all the times.”

On 3rd July 2024 while appearing on program called Omuntu Wawansi hosted by Kyamagelo, she affirmed that if she ever falls out of God’s glory and the evidence is there, she will resign and even take herself to Luzira . If she will resign after now that she has fallen out of God’s grace still remains a question she will have to answer.
