Uganda People’s Defence Forces organised a scientific ceremony to pay last tributes to the late professor Kajabago Ka-Rusoke at Kololo ceremonial grounds in Kampala.

The late Ka-Rusoke succumbed to COVID-19 in the morning hours of Tuesday 14th June 2021 at Victoria hospital Bukoto- Kampala where he was receiving treatment.

The late professor who died at the age of 83 was a senior Presidential advisor on ideology and a lecturer in various UPDF learning institutions but with a strong foot print at the National leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi.

The chief mourner at the function Rtd Col Tom Butime the minister designate for tourism, wildlife and antiquities thanked the office of the president and the UPDF family for organizing such a befitting send off for the fallen professor who has been very useful in the country. “We are really sad, we join the UPDF and other institutions where Kajabago Ka-Rusoke has been lecturing and we’re very sad that we have lost him but we are consoled by the fact that he has been very useful to this country and he has tought all of what to be and what to do as Ugandans and as Africans”, remarked the minister.

The UPDF fraternity was represented by the Chief Political Commissar Maj General Henry Masiko who thanked the family for having stayed on and allowed the UPDF to have a small send off ceremony at Kololo grounds which is an ideological ground hence ideal for such a ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by members of the family, representatives from the office of the president, the UPDF fraternity, and close friends.
