A patient suffering from a chronic kidney disease has killed himself after jumping off the eighth floor of Kiruddu Hospital along Salaama-Munyonyo Road.
The shocking incident happened on Thursday evening at around 8pm.
The deceased was identified by Police as Faustine Musinzi , 56 years old and a resident of Gomba Kisozi.
Officials at Kiruddu hospital said that Musinzi has been a patient at the hospital for the past three weeks.
According to Emmanuel Ainebyoona, a Senior Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Health, the deceased who died instantly following the incident was admitted while in a critical condition, having missed some dialysis sessions before the admission.
Doctors said he also had pneumonia that health workers were managing.
He was waiting for the morning dialysis session before he ended his life.
