Kibule's sons drowned on Monday afternoon

The police are holding four domestic workers to help with investigations into the death of Hon. Ronald Kibuule’s twin sons.

On Monday afternoon, State minister for Water Resources lost his twin sons – Raiding Wasswa and Roman Kato – after they drowned in a swimming pool at his home in at Mbalala, Nama sub-county on the Kampala–Jinja highway in Mukono district.

According to the family, the twins, born in 2017 were playing within the vicinity of the pool when they slipped into the pool. They were pronounced dead at Albert Cook Hospital in Mukono town.

According to Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, those arrested include housemaid Scovia Nabubwama, Peace Nankunda, Lawrence Kibaya, a shamba boy as well as security man Agripa Kumanya.

“They are being held under section 227 of the Penal Code Act, the charge of being Rush and Neglect Act,” Patrick Onyango said in a press statement on Tuesday.
