According to Greater Masaka police Spokesperson Lameck Kigozi, “parents sent the money and were directed where their daughter had been dumped in Kyotera Township.”

“The baby was recovered alive but trailing of the kidnappers continued. However, the arrest of Kiwanuka Martin, the owner of the phone line on which money was sent led to the arrest of seven more conspirators in this crime,” he added.

This case file is currently with the Resident State Attorney as inquiries continue.
