Kentaro Pamela, a police officer who is being accused of spying on Bobi Wine right from US up to Entebbe has denied the allegations.

ASP Pamela has said that she was never planted on Bobi Wine as some people allege and that she has been friends with the Kyadondo East MP for many years.

Kentaro came under spotlight after Henry Kakensa, a renowned social media blogger posted on his Facebook page  a photo of Bobi Wine while on Kenya Airways and besides him, was Pamela, who was clad in a civilian attire.

He alleged that Pamela was assigned by her bosses to spy on Bobi Wine.

However in a brief statement, Pamela said;

“It’s quite absurd that a lot of negativity is being spread about me having been planted as a spy on Hon Kyagulanyi .Bobi and I have been friends from way back and he knows that I am a police officer.  On Thursday I met him at JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport). I was from traveling from Mombasa and him from America. I didn’t travel to the US as alleged. Bobi Wine was the first to see me at the cafeteria and asked me to join him at the table with his brother called Dax. We chatted for close to two hours while waiting for our flight to Entebbe. On the plane, he (Bobi) sat next to Hon Winnie Kizza and he asked that I sit across on the other side of the aisle near him.”

Apparently Pamela serves in the Directorate of Human Rights and Legal Services.

She commanded counter terrorism police officers who stopped journalists from accessing the police headquarters in Naguru on April 20 to cover the judgment of former Old Kampala and Buyende DPC, the late Muhammad Kirumira in the police disciplinary tribunal.
