19 year old murders colleague after gambling goes wrong

Police in Kabale district  has in detention a 19 years  old man for alleged murder.

The suspect identified as  Gideon Bikorwomuhangi comes from Birambo cell,  Maziba subcounty Kabale district.
He’s  alleged to have  murdered  Reuben Kabale,  25 who’s  a boda boda rider of the same address. He cut the  neck of the deceased from the back with a panga on Saturday at around 17:30 hours at Kaburasi trading centre.
According to the Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly maate,  It’s alleged that they(the victim and the deceased) developed a misunderstanding while playing cards over money which forced the suspect to run and got a panga and cut the victim the neck from the back.
The deceased  was rushed to Maziba health centre four while in  coma  where he died moments later.
By that time,  the wanainchi (members of the village) had arrested the suspect and handed him to Maziba police.
When they learnt of the death of the victim, they went to attack the police so that could Lynch the suspect but Kabale police was swift enough rushed and rescue the suspect  to Kabale police station.
Maate says that Arrangements for postmortem and inquiries are underway.
Maate has condemned the incident.
This case has been registered at Kabale police station under file number SD 50/04/08/2018.
