MTN Uganda has today picked TWAMBALE Apparel, a Ugandan owned and street run fashion wear company, as its clothing partner for its youth proposition community – MTN Pulse.
Under the partnership, MTN Pulsers can now get dressed with TWAMBALE Apparel and enjoy a 20% discount on customized outfits. To get a discount code, MTN Pulsers can dial *157*4#.
Speaking at MTN Nyonyi Gardens, Hellen Kirungi, the MTN Uganda Youth Segment Manager, further committed to MTN’s focused approach on inspiring the youth.
“When we launched MTN Pulse in February this year, we committed to a long term goal of raising a community of youthful and ambitious Ugandans with the power to be themselves, unleash their full potential and live life with #NoFear. The partnership with TWAMBALE Apparel, therefore, is another step towards realizing this goal”.
“We believe that TWAMBALE Apparel’s attributes of freshness, progressiveness, creativity and unique simplicity, are shared by Pulsers – both in essence and appearance. MTN Pulse is not just about feeling dope, but it is also about looking so!” said Hellen Kirungi.
Since MTN Pulse was launched, MTN has continuously formed partnerships that are enhancing the lifestyle of the youth. Offers like Pulse data bundles, gaming products, discounted meals, discounted concert tickets, are increasing learning & networking opportunities for the youth.
Founded by Mubanza Haggai and Byaruhanga Felix, TWAMBALE Apparel illuminates African lifestyle by blending with contemporary fashion while embodying the attitude of “proudly African”.
TWAMBALE Apparel trades the key brand promise of being African, Comfy, and Simple. They produce t-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts and caps for gents and ladies, among other lifestyle-based clothing.
TWAMBALE Apparel is an online marketplace where one can single out a product and place an order to any of the ready-made in-house designs or customized as desired by the customer.
According to Mubanza Haggai, one of the co-founders of TWAMBALE Apparel, the aim is to create and design proudly Ugandan products that make you stand out, for the youth who want unique and hip fashion solutions across the African continent and the world.
“We started TWAMBALE Apparel with a vision of creating “Africa’s best casual T-shirt” solution and have slowly morphed into other wearable clothing like sweatshirts and caps, while maintaining our mantra; African. Comfy. Simple,” said Haggai.
He expressed their delight at the partnership with MTN Uganda, believing that they’ve hit the right cord: “We target the youth looking for casual simple outfits on the go such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, snapbacks (hats) and anything along those lines”
“Our partnership with MTN is a great thing, firstly, it highlights how young start-up companies can collaborate with corporate companies to harness the power of the internet in the development of online businesses.
Secondly, our clothing line targets a unique, fresh and dynamic community of like-minded people – who we have found in MTN Pulse” added Mr. Mubanza.
