Police in Rubanda district is investigating circumstances under which a 28 years old man was knocked dead by a speeding vehicle.
The deceased has been identified as Byamukama Anxious of Rurengyere village, Nyaruhanga parish, Ikumba subcounty Rubanda district.
He was knocked dead on spot by motor vehicle reg no UAY 114 P Isuzu forward white in colour and the deceased was riding a motorcycle number UEN 362A Bajaj boxer at Nyaruhanga along Kabale Kisoro road on Monday 18/06/18 at around 5:30 pm.
It’s alleged that while the deceased was from Kabale side at that Sharp corner, he failed to negotiate and ended riding on the right side and knocked the on coming Lorry.
The Kigezi region Police spokesperson, Elly Maate has confirmed the news. Maate adds that the Preliminary cause of accident is reckless riding.
He has condemned reckless driving.
This case has been registered at Rubanda police file number TAR 23/2018.
