Police in Kisoro district has in detention five and one Ugandan suspected to have allegedly forged and uttered false documents.
The arrested are SARWAR Muhammad, KHALIL Muhammad, BASHIR Muhammad, HAROOP Umar, MUHAMOOD Asif and the Ugandan WINENE Coston Yosia.
According to police, they were arrested on sunday 03/06/18 at around 10:30 am at Musanze boarder of Rwanda heading to Goma Congo having exited through Kyanika boarder.
The Kigezi region police spokes person Elly Maate says that after proper scrutiny of their presented suspected forged resident permits, that’s when they were arrested by immigration and later handed over to police upon which were charged accordingly.
Maate adds that arrangements of transferring them to Kampala are being made for further management.
The case has been registered at Kisoro police station under file reference number CRB 516/2018.
