Former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has alerted voters in Rukungiri district to be ready for money that is soon coming as a form of bribing them.
“Watch out. Don’t mess. NRM is bringing the money to you very, soon. Eat it because it’s yours but know your right candidate” Besigye said.
He said this while campaigning in Bwambara, Bugangari sub counties ahead of the by-election that is slated for 31st May, on Thursday.
Dr Besigye told the electorate to “eat” the money they will get from NRM because it’s their money. He further told them not even to say ‘thank you” to them when they receive the money because it’s their taxes.
“ I urge you not to say thank you, because its your taxes” he said.
Dr Besigye is in Rukungiri district busy campaigning for the FDC party flag bearer for Rukungiri woman MP by-elections Ms Betty Muzanira Bamukwasa.
President museveni will visit Rukungiri district to campaign for the NRM candidate Hon. Winfred Matsiko on 28th of May.
The by-election is slated for Thursday 31st may.
