As days draw closer to the much anticipated The FUFA Drum maiden match Busoga and Bugisu Provinces, the tournament has attracted attention of many Ugandans including dignitaries.
‘The number one citizen HE President of the Republic of Uganda is expected to attend and will be accompanied by the Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga’ said Rogers Byamukama the Chairman FUFA Drum Organising Committee.
He added that the Kyabazinga of Busoga His Highness Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV is set to host all the dignitaries on the day.
‘We are expecting a big crowd at the Kyazinga Stadium but we shall accommodate all of them in several aspects’ added Byamukama who attended the press conference at FUFA House in Mengo on Wednesday.
The 16 Provinces which are going to take part in the competitions are; Teso, Busoga, Sebei, Bugisu Teso ,Busoga, Sebei, Bugisu, Lango, Buganda, Acholi, Kigezi, Bukedi, Bunyoro, Kampala, Rwenzori, Karamoja, Ankole, West Nile and Tooro
Competitions Department has set 6th October 2018 as the date for the final to be played in Kasese.
