LIST: UNBS exposes ‘illegal’ cosmetics on Ugandan market that cause cancer

As Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) continue to crackdown illegal cosmetics on the Ugandan market that are dangerous to human lives, the standards regulatory body has decided to unveil a list of cosmetics that are likely to cause skin cancer to users.

According to UNBS, these body lightening creams contain deadly elements like hydroquinone and mercury which various studies have confirmed to have adverse effects on human heath such as damage to internal organs as well as causing cancer.
