In 2016, businessman Sudhir Ruaprelia through his Crane Management Services (CMS) entered into a joint venture with Kingdom Hotel and Abland Africa, a South African firm to build a modern complex at the former Shimoni Primary School land.
Today we decided to pass by the construction site to see the progress of the complex and indeed the work is amazing.
Crane Management has not disappointed its clients since the multibillion structure is almost ready.
The hotel was supposed to be used during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2007 but due to some upheavals, the project was halted until Crane Management was contracted to finish the work.
“We were contacted by management of Kingdom Hotel as people who have experience in real estate management to get on board to develop and manage this asset. Another experienced South African firm, Abland was also brought on board but we are in charge,” Rajiv Ruparelia, the managing director CMS said recently.
After its finished, the complex will house a 200 bedroom 4 star hotel, 40,000 square metre office space and a 16,000 square metre rentable space.
